Geraldine*P*D (F6) is a twin sister of Opus 7 Farm ER Fitz. From these names, you might be able to guess that their dam's name is Ella! Although Geraldine has been very petite, her funny personality and energy are the winner among this year's kids. She figured out how to free ride on the back of our guard llama, Harmony. She loved stealing Harmony's feed. She has been a special girl here. She became quiet until December 21st. then boom! We think she was able to tell that the day is getting longer! Her energy came back and impish personality is back again.
Geraldine's dam, Ella received milk stars from both TMGR & MDGA.
Ella's teats' texture is TO-DIE-FOR.
Geraldine's sire, Roman has a milk star from MDGA & TMGR and complete Green Gables line.
Geraldine*P*D received MDGA & TMGR's milk star in 2021 as FF with
milk production 8.21 points & 5.73% butterfat at 44 days from freshening

Geraldine's udder is attached pretty high and fill up higher. I like her globe shape udder with a little top filling.
Her teats are extremely soft and tender. She milk out completely and very fast because her teats can hold so much milk being dropped and orifice is huge. Even though she earned milk stars at MDGA & TMGR as FF, we can tel she has much more room to grow her udder for next 2 years and have amazing milk productions and butterfat quality.

12/24/2020
9:00 am - her udder got fuller than yesterday
3:30pm - her udder was a little larger than morning but still had room
9:00 pm- udder suspiciously became larger and ligament looked and felt looser
10:30 pm - through the barn camera, she kept standing away from other 4 ladies, standing still for a long time, looking in the middle then move back legs a little to adjust her stance. Not eating nor laying down. Kept standing alone against the wall.
11:15 pm - made me uncomfortable seeing her like that so decided to bring her in the kidding pen. She is not happy being alone.
12/25/2020
5 am - She was having some looser poos and arching her heat back often
Not eating much.
9 am - Started having normal poos. Her ligament is gone and udder is completely full. Her side of body got bigger dunking ins.
1 pm - because her body looked ready but not coming enough contractions to be able to unbare, I went inside to see. 2 fingers + size cervix open.
4 pm - she ate grains nicely. While laying down, she pushed several times more like a casual pushing.
4:30 pm- went inside. Cervix is open. I was able to feel the baby’s muzzle right the other size of cervix. Getting there.
Suddenly laying down and pushed a couple of times.
5 minutes later, another couple of pushes bug nothing came out, no goo
4:45 pm - goo started coming put
4:55 pm - after several pushes, her water broke. Pushing but not seeing a baby. Went in, there was a muzzle trying to come through cervix.
5:00 pm - saw the front hoof coming out. Went in to see if the head is lined up. The head was right behind it so we decided to wait. lots of serious pushes but only one front leg and the mouth with tongue out. Because the water is already broken, we had to help to find out where the other front leg was. We had to push the baby's head and one leg inside to make some room to find the other leg but could not find it. Because of serious pushes happening, we decided to let her keep pushing and help the baby come out. It was very hard pushing. We think one of the front leg was stuck behind and had a hard time coming through the pelvic bones. maybe this was why it took a little extra time for her to start the first push. The buckling (8Lb) came out safely. He had a little funny breathing and voice for a while until he had a first sip of milk.
Geraldine received oil dewormer mix. Started with Bioworma.
