We have transported Dolly from CA Blackberry's / Green Eggers farm, San Diego. She was carrying quads and had massive amount of milk. We were so impressed what she showed us, we decided to let her have milk stars. She is so funny at the milk testing day, though. She is so sensitive that her baby is not with her that day. She notice that the tester is in the milking parlor that stresses her. These triggered immediate drop of milk production. We have been trying to let her achieve what she really is for last 3 years...
We will see if we could make her less sensitive this year to achieve MDGA milk star.

@ 5:20 pm: before snow storm, bring her to the kidding pen with heat and camera
@ 6:20pm she ate grains and alfalfa pellets well. Good stretches between early contractions
@ 8:05 pm: laying down but looks very uncomfortable. Making breathing noise
@8:20 pm: scratch the side of her belly, standing still, dozing with half eyes shut- shallow breathing
02/25/2021
@9:15 am: She has been crying whenever I am not looking at her or moving away. She has contractions more often. Carrying much lower and bigger dimples near her tail as well as her back. She has goo coming out.
@9:30 am: She loves being petted on her face
@9:45 am: She scratches her belly with her mouth, she munched hay a little. Her udder is larger but not completely full yet.
@ 9:55 am: She started sniffing after her wee.
@10:50 am: More crying, more goo.
@11:00 am: She started talking to her babies. We went inside to see where her labor is in. Her cervix was slightly still tight but dilated enough to go inside. Only bubbles that could be felt. Hoping this helps her to get going with her labor without getting too tired.
@ 3:45 pm: Still more or less the same pace. We inside and went a little beyond the cervix but could not feel any bones
@4: pm: we decided to go inside and cervix was open but we think placenta previa. Called Dr. B. for the guidance.
@5:00 pm: Had to help to open cervix wider by massaging circles. Fortunately her cervix became significantly wider- 4 inches. baby 's front legs are facing forward but head kept going sideways and so many times, we had to correct his head positions.
6.5Lb baby boy (N13)
@5:35 pm: After passing nearly 30 minutes, we decided to go inside to help out the second one. She came out from the back legs. (Breach) 7 Lb baby girl (N14)
@6:10 pm: after waiting for 30 more minutes, we again decided to go inside. The baby was way down. One front foot forward and face forward 5.5 Lb baby girl (N15)
@6: boy still birth (N16)

@6:40 am: Decided to bring Dolly to the garage under the heat for kidding in the morning.
@8:30am : Seeing some contraction behaviors while standing. White goo has been coming out. She also sits and cry almost calling someone. Sometimes dozing off. She has been very vocal since 8:30 am
@ By the afternoon, she was very tired and sleepy. I could see that she was having contractions but no goo or actual improvement. She was not eating.
@Later afternoon, it appeared to be she was trying to push even now and then but nothing was going on. Decided to go inside to see what is going on. Went into cervix area. There was nothing there. Cervix was open and soft already. After observing her, decided to go in again to confirm that labor is not moving forward naturally.
@7:00 pm: It reminded me of Jewel's delivery last year. The baby #1 must be stuck or dead inside and baby #2 was not able to come out. We needed to help Dolly before she gets too exhausted to push.
@7:15 pm: Went inside, baby was way down. Only bubble was able identify. We had to find head and at least one leg. Fond a head and one leg. During this time, Dolly was so exhausted. I went to grab honey & chili pepper mix and smeared it into her gum several times to bring back her energy. The other leg was bent backwards. Fixed the second leg and grabbed 2 legs to pull. Legs were able to come out but head did not come along. We had to push back all the body again and start all over to find his head while trying to hold onto tip of the 2 feet. We were able to line up the head in the right position and ready to pull the feet while head was on them. Guiding through his head with Dolly's weak pushes.
Baby #1 was delivered. 7.5 Lb Blue eyed buckling. He was covered with feces and goo surrounding him was all dark yellow. This means he was very stressed inside of the womb. Some blood came out near the vagina. After cleaning, he was already trying to stand up and search for milk. He was OK.
Dolly was full of adrenalin. She kept talking to this new buckling and licking vigorously. Gave warm molasses water to Dolly and she drunk all, at last.
@7:45 pm: Dolly sat down and started pushing again but in the middle, she stopped. During the push, I was able to see a big bubble with the head. Baby #2 looked like line up nicely.
@8:00 pm: Dolly sat down and started pushing again. Because Dolly was already so exhausted, her pushes were not that strong. We helped her to guide her baby #2 coming out. 7.5 Lb Moonspotted wattle doeling.
Both of the babies were quite vigorous to get up and find milk. Dolly was still talking to both of them and licking non stop. We helped these babies to find teats.
